Young Voices Inspiring Change
At Tealby, we believe every child has a voice worth hearing. Giving pupils real opportunities to lead, represent others, and shape school life inspires them to aspire, believe in themselves, and achieve beyond their own expectations.
Our School Council and Class Ambassadors ensure that pupil perspectives are central to decision-making, showing children that their ideas can influence real change. Wellbeing Champions promote kindness and inclusion, helping to build a community where everyone feels valued.
Leadership also reaches into wider responsibilities. Junior Road Safety Officers, Eco Warriors and Online Safety Leaders raise awareness of important issues, equipping their peers with knowledge and skills that extend beyond the classroom. Our Reading Buddies and Year 6 mentors nurture younger pupils, building confidence, connection, and a culture of encouragement.
Through these roles, children learn to lead with integrity, collaborate with others and speak with confidence. But, most importantly, they discover that their actions - however small - can make a genuine difference.
Online Safety Leaders
Our Junior Online Safety Leaders play an important role in helping keep our school community safe, through fun activities, assemblies and awareness campaigns. The children work hard to share important safety messages with their peers and encourage everyone to make responsible choices. They all show fantastic team work, confidence and leadership skills while helping others to learn how to stay safe in everyday situations. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and dedication they bring to these important roles.

Four of our Online Safety Leaders enjoyed spending time outside together, promoting the importance of staying safe online and supporting their peers around school. They work hard to encourage positive digital behaviour and help raise awareness of online safety in a fun and approachable way.
