At Tealby, we believe that community is at the heart of a great education. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, community member or friend, your time and talents can have a real and lasting impact, and can help to shape the kind of school community you want your child to grow up in.
What can I do?
We’re always looking for volunteers across the school. Whether you’ve got 20 minutes or two hours, we can help you find something meaningful. Here are some of the ways you can get involved:
- Listening to children read
- Helping outdoors - gardening, forest school, or just lending a hand
- Sharing a story or skill
- Helping with odd jobs or classroom prep
- Supporting events
Do you have a job, hobby or cultural experience that children would find interesting? We love volunteers who come in to talk about their work, culture or passions.
How do I volunteer?
Pop into the office, call us on 01673 838330, or email enquiries@tealby.lincs.sch.uk and let us know what you're interested in doing. We’ll have a chat with you to find the right time and role for you. Some regular roles would require a DBS check (we can help with that) - others are one-off or informal.
What else should I know?
- You don’t need experience, just enthusiasm and kindness
- We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds
- Even short sessions make a big impact
- You’ll get as much out of it as the children do
